I am DONE with eBay!! Egg sellers BEWARE!! - Page 5

So I'm done with eBay! I'm so freakin' mad!

If you sell hatching eggs on there--you should know that someone can get a crushed box with broken eggs and ruptured air cells in the mail and YOU as the SELLER are responsible for the POST OFFICE's ruining of the eggs! So not only am I out the money on the eggs but I'm out the listing fees, PayPal fees and $16.00 for shipping.

It is very simple.

AVOID EBAY AT ALL COSTS!!!

Did they leave you negative comments? If so, isn't there a way to respond to defend yourself as the seller?

It is also good to not use PayPal. Money Orders are the best imho.

E-bay is Latin for "seller beware."

Sorry you had a hassle.

Egg shipping really is the only way we are going to get access to so many breeds.

Chickens and turkeys in the backyard since 1984. They co-habitate with PB pigs (5) and barn cats. Only purebreds are Welsummers, SC Rhode Island White and Royal Palm Turkeys. APA. NRA.

You would be amazed what you can trade eggs for.

No woman ever shot her husband while he was doing the dishes.

Oh yeah, I got a nap for that.

Yes...I will be avoiding eBay from now on. It's insane. No, she hasn't left me any feedback but my PayPal is "frozen" right now since I have a "strike" against me.

I posted on an eBay forum and someone said that the fine print of eBay requires all eggs to be sent OVERNIGHT!?? Again--WTH? Who would pay $30 for shipping if they're paying $20 for eggs? Especially this broad who tried from the get-go to get me to lower my price! LOL

Again, done with eBay! I think I'll stick to BYC auctions & my own website...at least people here are much more aware of the shipping hazards and nicer to work with! :)

Wow. What a bunch of morons in eBay. No pictures, no nothing, just this crazy woman raising hell. She cannot prove anything past the fact that the box arrived damaged. There is absolutely no proof that the eggs were damaged. None.

Someone doesn't know squat about hatching eggs.

I will not buy hatching eggs on eBay simply because the people I know of that I want eggs from don't sell them on eBay. Therefore if I do go there, I don't know who I'm buying from and I'm not taking chances. I really don't like that site anyway though I've bought and sold there in the past. As in LONG past.

PS - until now, I didn't ever even know Rare Feathers sold eggs on eBay.

Love those Orps!

I don't care why the chicken crossed the road, as long as mine don't!
