Twisted toe. What do I do?

Hi,  frow.gif

I just received 6 D'uccle chicks in the mail.  My golden neck chick (who is about is 6 days old) has a twisted toe.  I've heard that you make a band aid into a splint.  Is that what I should do?  Or would you recommend something else?

Thanks!!

Some make a cast  or shoe of sorts. Place a flat piece of tape with the chicks foot on it. Then apply another piece on top to hold the toe in position. Like a foot sandwich I guess would be the best description.

A band aid or thin piece of vetrap will work.

I made her a boot out of card board and a band aid.  I'll get some pictures soon. smile.png
