how long for a peachick to get full grown?

Just wondering because I just got a peachick the other day and im really excited to see her full grown. Im pretty sure its a girl too because i can see green feathers starting to grow on her neck!

Depending on how old the peachick is, green feathers may not be a sign of being a girl yet.

They will be full size within a year, but depending on whether its a girl or boy, their feathers may still be developing even then.

It's best if you post a picture so we can see the little guy.

Yep, she's a girl.

Does she have some friends??

They're very social.

Yeah we have 8 teen chickens and a full grown hen. No other peacock friends though :/ but i figured she would get along with them.

 

Do most peacocks bite fingers? Most every time i try and pet her she bites me. or do they even like being pet?

She probably just needs to get used to you.

Instead of petting her, maybe just offer her treats (mine LOVE blueberries) until she gets to know you better - she'll warm up to you!

She probably would like to have a peacock friend, though.
