Samuel Adams:  "If ye love wealth better than liberty, the tranquility of servitude better than the animating contest of freedom, go home from us in peace. We ask not your counsels or your arms. Crouch down and lick the hands which feed you. May your chains set lightly upon you, and may posterity forget that you were our countrymen."

Thank you!  I definitely had a little adrenaline pumping during that.  I had my little LED flashlight held alongside the rifle barrel while I was aiming.  I went tactical on him.  LOL

How lucky that hen hit your window eh? She deserves a treat.

Honestly, I don't know what model Marlin it is.  I've had that thing for around 25 years.  It's the one with the under-barrel tube magazine that holds around 15 rounds.  Funny thing is that I haven't cleaned that rifle in more than a few years.  I'm surprised it didn't misfire.  I did notice a few "sparks" coming from the chamber as each casing flew out the side.  I should probably clean it, now, huh?  big_smile.png

I was a little nervous after this event, because I do live in the city limits, where ordinance states we're not allowed to shoot.  Hopefully the neighbors didn't hear it.  My wife said she could hear it inside, but she was awake and aware of what I was doing.  It was only 2 shots, maybe 30 seconds apart.  I got no visits from the po-po, so I'm probably OK. cool.png
