Recently discovered I can walk my buffs on leash... How hysterical is that?! I love these birds, it's likely we have another one coming to join our goose gang soon!

How cute, what kind of harness are you using? one made for water fowl? I tried a dog harness on one of my Muscovy's didn't work she got out of it. Beautiful geese too.

Actually, its just a simply dog collar, I think size 18-20 inch. We just clipped it under their wings and around their breast and it worked surprisingly well. The fewer straps the better it seems. The pictures are of us walking them around a local fair, they were such a hit!

that is so cute. mine follow me around when I let them out and if I go into the house they wait for me to come out, so funny.

We used a dog collar, a single strap. It has to be pretty snug. I am not real sure how it would work with ducks, as their bodies are shaped a bit differently.

This is what after hours working the poultry barn looked like. This is me with Lucky, she is such a sweetie. We got another buff goose yesterday - Eggbert... She is extremely imprinted on humans, and has never seen another goose before in her life! Any suggestions on melding her in with the flock? I currently have her so they can see each other and socialize, I allow them into the yard with one another when I am present to observe.

What a sweet pic. My buff will walk up to me and look at me so sweetly but I have to catch her to get a snuggle. Poor things I have to get after them all so often since they are not nice to the ducks or chickens.

As for your new one do just what your doing letting her and the rest get socialized through the fence. It may take a while but It will work out. How is she and them when you let them all be together.?

Here are my 6. They were mad at me cause I dumped both of the pools and filled the smaller one up first. As soon as I started filling the bigger one they were on the small pool. I was getting a bit of a "talking" to for cleaning them both today.

They are beautiful I bet it's funny when all 6 get in.

Two will get in there and then a third will jump in and all chaos breaks out. They have emptied the pool by doing that. The big pool will hold 4 or 5. I have one that rarely gets in either pool. Usually the others sit outside the pool and watch that one in the pool.

The small pool is meant for the ducks since the geese chase them out of the big pool.
