New from Michigan

Hi... my name is Chris and I'm new here.

I've wanted to get a few chickens ever since we moved to our new house which sits on almost 2 acres. Last April, my father in law gave my 5 yr old son 2 chicks and a duckling. There were about 8 weeks old when we got them and I've loved them since they day they got here. We have watched them grow and have patiently been waiting for our first egg. Ever since we found our first a few days ago I have fallen in love with our girls all over again. I began doing some research on what breeds we had and it turns out we have a White Leghorn, Clucky,  and a Buff Orpington, Betty. While reading up on our Pekin duck... I discovered that cute little curly feather on her butt that I noticed a while back, meant that we'd get no duck eggs... it turns out Peep is a drakelau.gif.

I am anxious for the Orpington to start laying and looking forward to adding to our little flock next spring!

I'm Chris..
