Red Golden Pheasants & Reeves Pheasants , SE KS / SW MO

Some birds have been sold!

Updated List:

Pair of Red Golden Pheasants, a lot of interest has been shown in these, but no real commitments. $55.

Pair of Edwards Pheasants, rare pheasants* this breed was considered extinct at one time in the wild, $150 pr.

young yellow golden pheasants, $25 each.

Young silver pheasants, $25 each.

Royal Palm Turkeys.

All of the young pheasants would be what I would call half grown. Most of them are up around 2 months getting closer to 3 months old.

I have a few quick questions about the Red golden pheasants

What is the recommended hen to male ration like 1:1 or 3:1 ??

Because ive been looking in to RGP but i heard u need like 3 hens for 1 male and the only reason im getting them is for the male's great plumage

Also can you have like 2 males by them selves no females if your not looking in to breeding or will they fight and not be happy

Can you rase them with your chicken in a covered run and coop if there is enough room

and anyother helpful tips would be appreciated

You wouldn't be going to the Allen, Nebraska Swap by chance? My husband and I are interested in your Edwards Pheasants. We live in south central nebraska but could meet you to pick up the birds. Let me know and we can figure something out. I will pm you too.

Sorry guys this post was last August and all of this stuff has been sold.

Trent - Red goldens can be kept in pairs or as many as 3 or 4 hens to 1 male. I wouldn't keep two males together. Golden pheasants aren't that bad about fighting, but it doesn't mean that they won't fight.
