Production Reds are a cross breed bred for laying, so they will give you lots of brown eggs. They are usually tame. They can have different names depending on what hatchery is selling them. These look like some "Cherry Eggers" I had when I was a kid. Wonderful chickens!

Showing Modern Game Bantams and Self Blue d'Anvers! We also have a small flock of pets/layers.

They are just hatchery red birds, they're bred to be great layers of nice brown eggs.

Well, the kittens aren't so cute anymore and the easter egger cockerels are in the freezer. Plus, I think offering them as "prizes" scared folks off! So, I'm still posting quotes, if you know it let me know. I'm very enamored of this new one, it may hang around for a while!
