Chicks Pecking Each Other?

I have two chicks, two days old in the incubator (they will soon be in the brooder) that I saw as I checked on them that they were pecking each other. Is this going to escalate to a problem (like cannibalism) or is it just normal for chicks to do this? They weren't pecking each other constantly, but the both did a few pecks, ran around, etc...

Chicks peck at everything.  It is sort of their way of finding out what is good to eat.  Eyes and toes seem to frequently be early targets.  Rarely does injury occur.  Once they are in the broodere and eating, this behavior will decrease.  Not to worry.

If they keep it up, hang a parrot mirror in your brooder. Mine peck at their reflections and leave each other alone!
