For Sale:
Hedemora Fertile Hatching Eggs

Will Ship To: Anywhere

$35.  Includes shipping.  4++ Hedemora fertile hatching eggs.  I collect up to and including the day of shipment and, you get the freshest.  I currently only have one hen laying, she is silkied.  She has been laying for about 2 months, fertility and hatching have been very good.  My birds came from Greenfire farms as a breeding pair.  Hedemoras are extremely cold hardy due to their dense feathering and dark skin. It is recommended they are kept in a zones 2 to 4 no higher than a 5, unless you are willing to artificially keep them cool during the hot periods.

I love the silkie look that your hen has how likely is it that the chicks you hatch will have that silkied gene as well?

Thank you very much for the compliment. I do not have any stats but, I have hatched 16 and so far none are silkied so hopefully I am due for one soon.  I have a beautiful silkied rooster and once he is mature in a couple of months it should considerably increase your chances.

I candled the 6 eggs today, 5  fertile which i consider VERY good considering having to go through the postal service and some very warm weather. I am crossing my fingers for some cute chicks in a couple of weeks! Ruth
