Please help :(

One of my hens is walking around stiff, her comb is dull and she barely eats and drinks. She still lays though. When she does eat she opens and closes her mouth in like a gasping motion. Also her legs are real pale now

She just turned a year and it is very hot and humid here

OK, get her in the house A/C STAT! First order of business is to get her body temp down to normal. She might be having heat stress. Feed her electrolytes and high energy foods, eggs/mealworms etc.... and wait a day or so to see if she perks up......You KNOW she is not egg bound so that is good.

The weather has since cooled. She looks better. Her comb's redder and she eating more. She's really weak though, got a drunk walk lol

It sometimes takes a while for them to bounce back. Have you been giving vitamins and electrolytes?

Actually no she got out and I couldn't catch her but I guess a couple of open range nights is what she needed. I just checked on her shes back to her old normal grumpy self. Her comb and legs are back to their normal color too. I'm so glad shes very special to me she was the only bitty out of 13 to survive a dog attack her mother, father, and brothers, sisters weren't so lucky :(...plus she lays every day.
