Insomia

OK so my friends dog bit me on the leg . My mom rescued me, but I needed stitches. Well.... .Now, my friend (who is my ABFF- adult BFF) can't sleep (she feels terrible & she had to put down her dog) along with my mom. My mom gets like 2 hours of sleep. Any ideas on what can help? I feel terrible because I know she'd be able to sleep if I wasn't hurt, so I want to help. :( :( Any ideas?

She had to put down your Mom and the dog!?? Wow that is harsh!

Seriously though, Insomnia is a pretty complex problem and while it will make your ABFF and your Mom feel better if you tell them that you are sorry that you got bit and the dog had to be put down it won't cure their insomnia. Must have been a really bad bite if you had to get stitches.

Get better soon and be careful you don't get that bite wound infected.

All of you are suffering through this.  She probably thought her dog would never do something like that, so she lost a good friend, you have had the peewaddin scared out of you and so has your mother.  BIG FAT HUGS!!!!

You just relax and try to forget the moment it happened.  Talk to you ABFF tomorrow and make sure she even wants a rabbit.  I personally would take it in a heartbeat, but others may not even know what to do with it.

I know I have VERY protective dogs, and I have seen them in action.  I do not let people that they are not familiar with near them.  They are here to protect the coop and they know it.  I am really sorry you having to deal with this.

She can keep it with the chickens she has (I'm coaching her how to take care of them") and even if she DOESN'T want him, we have the means to keep him (albiet those means are the way we were keeping him before and he escaped )

Oh and we're huntin (I might not shoot) tomorrow so we will see her no matter what big_smile.png

She has 40 or more (when we were feeding them -time f bite- she only had 20) sled dogs (she knows all the names th.gif) but ALL of them are child friendly (one exception) so this one biting me was out of the blue, and he didn't eat his food so SOMETHING was wrong.

What breeds do you have? I know you have goats (or atleast used to), but unsure of your dog breeds.

Thanks for your sympathy hugs.gif

I have a pure bred German Shepard, and shepard/coyote mix and a maltese.  The maltese runs circles around the guard dogs and it cracks me up!!!!!  We still have the goats - Nubian/Boer mixes.  They are BIG!!!!

Remember your safety when hunting.  And NEVER shoot unless you are sure of  your kill.  Doesn't guarantee dinner, but it gives you a better chance!

Aw, I love GS's, and that souds FUNNY!

Yup, remember them being big, but not their breeds! I just saw my first boer the other day (a buck), and he was as big as me!! Can't imagine how big yours are!
