Who Has A Sun Conure

I think you are very smart and responsible to be thinking like that! Good for you!!

i love my birds and truly want nothing but the nicest for them i wake up at 7:AM to clean cage give fresh food and water etc and play with them about an hour and at 8:30 AM i give them a cracker and go back to sleep till about 10:AM and then start my day

but i like to think about stuff really i am smarter than most kids at what used to be my former school a 16 year old [who failed 3 times] tried to pull me in a school bathroom and i kicked him in the crouch and face and ran for my life right out of the school and 2 blocks to my parents house so from that day on i think a lot and am very aware of my surroundings to watch for anything that might be bad

and again thank you for saying such nice things about me i will make sure to have my birds for a long long time from now i hope they live to 35 if not more

You are a dear little thing! I wish abundant blessings upon you, your wonderful parents and siblings, and your beautiful birds. And be sure to tell your parents I said these things, as they come from my heart.

I will for sure thank you very much you are all so kind and sweet to say nice things about me it warms my little heart and soul and it probably makes my conures happy to and i love all my animals and really want nothing but as best as i can do for them which i can give them a lot right now it is 8:10 AM here in Florida and they are still sleeping and won't be awake till about 9:30 or so for me to feed them some waffle but they would say you are nice and they are like little guard birds i put their big house by our front door and if one of our Shepherds or someone to buy a baby bunny from us because 2 of our rabbits had babies an we are selling them they squawk LOUD and alert us if someone is coming

and again thank you for saying these nice things about me and my family

My husband raised a sun conure from a chick and she's probably 8 or 9. We now know that she's a she, because she laid 2 eggs about two weeks ago. My husband took the eggs out of her cage - they're not fertile - and she laid another one yesterday and I'm looking for another one tomorrow. My question is, since we don't want her getting worn out laying eggs all the time, how do we get her to stop. Just leave them there on her "nest" on the floor of the cage until she gets tired of them?

She's not particularly mean unless a stranger sticks their finger in her face. She does squawk, but usually just at bedtime to remind us she's tired. She says "Good Morning" every morning and says her name, "Bebop". She does want to be involved in everything and cannot be let out when we're cooking - aside from the fluff in the food, she might land in a pot, hot stove, etc....
