Barred Rock - 15 weeks - Pullet or Cockerel?

One more post. I bought s/he at 13 weeks. She's now 15 weeks in this picture. This is the most dominant of my birds. Perhaps because she's the oldest but i'm not sure. Will take a light bite at me when I pick her up.

What do you guys think?

thanks for the vote of confidence. i'll make sure to update this every week to chart growth.

I heard rocks at slight sex link in terms or darker colour but the i was worried because she has such thick legs, a growing comb and is the top bird in my flock.

i got a barred rock boy from the feed store (supposed to be a girl) that was more of a silver color and had a comb about twice the size of that so im pretty sure yours is a girl. Glad i could helpthumbsup.gif

That is a Barred Rock pullet.  She also looks to be quality bred.  Where did you get her?  From a breeder?  That is not a hatchery quality bird. The difference between a cockerel and pullet is night and day.  Side by side, it is much easier to see.  Your's is a pullet.

definetly a pullet. I agree with Fred's Hens, those are not hatchery quality birds, they are GREAT quality birds, where did you get them?
