I was cleaning out a couple of my garden planters, one of them peas. We didn't eat all of the peas this year and I hated to just throw them out but they have gotten woody and aren't sweet and tender any more. So I was thinking I could shell them all and put them out to dry in the sun for a few days then grind them with my food mill and add it to my chicken feed. Any reason I should NOT do this? I figure why waste them when I can feed them to the hens?
