Chicken Names

Thread Starter

Hey Everyone!

I am getting Chickens in the future and was wondering what did you name your Chickens and do you have any suggestions for names. I prefer out of the ordinary.  I really like the name spinach. I don't really like genetic/cruel names like chicken wings.

So if you have any suggestions or want to post your Chicken names feel free.

I love my Cats. Gita, Inca and Lexy.I am looking forward to my future chickens.

Hi and welcome to BYC from northern Michigan big_smile.png

I think there are a couple chicken names threads, try doing a search for "chicken names"

Home of the world's cutest dachshund, one crazy blue heeler, two cats,
one fat pony, and many (but not too many!) chickens

Can anyone tell me, how many are too many chickens?

welcome-byc.gif from Ohio!

We didn't name our chickens until we had them for awhile and discovered their personalities. Several of them went through a couple of name changes before we landed on the one that stuck. Like a Buff Brahma cockerel that we first called "Buff", but as he grew he became Brutus. We are Ohio State fans and he is a brut of a rooster. Hope you enjoy your birds.

Hey! welcome to BYC!!! What kind of birds you got? If you can post pics I can offer some suggestions. To me you cant just give anything a name, the name has to fit whatever it may be.
