My Welsh Harlequin and Pekins Pic Heavy

Here are some pics of my duck flock.  I have a pair of WH and 4 Pekins (one drake Pekin)  There are guineas in there with them, and no one was happy I was in the pen with them.  I will eventually free range these guys in the evening, but so far when run door open, no one wants to go out yet.  Also, I have an incomplete winter shelter, guineas on top and ducks will be on bottom, will put straw on bottom and there will be ramps from the guinea level down to ground which will further allow ducks to have protection.  This enclosure is south facing.  I have hardware cloth roof supported by 2x4 over entire duck/guinea run.

My WH pair, the female has had some issues with the drake pekin chasing her, so feathers are a little ruffled.

My Pekin Drake

My pekins and the guineas in the corner (like the camera was ready to butcher them all)

I just love the ritual flapping of the wings.

Thanks for looking.

1 greatly tolerant and participating husband, 2 kids, 2 dogs, 2 cats, 2 gerbs, 2 hamsters, 1 guinea pig, 3 lionhead rabbits, several fish. Thanks, I think I may have forgotten to mention, I GOT MY FIRST DUCk EGG TODAY!  I think it was a pekin.  I have an older girl a friend gave me and she hasn't given any eggs yet, but my oldest hen I have raised is just under 20 weeks, so I guess it may be her.  I am a little nervous, never eaten a duck egg, but I am trying it tomorrow for breakfast.  Wish me luck!
