Your Biggest Chicken Egg To Date

Not as big as some, but one of our girls (Black Australorp) pretty regularly gives us these 4 oz / 114 gram eggs.

This one was actually smaller to look at than the one below, but it was heavier. It had two full eggs inside it, but it wasn't a shelled egg within an egg. Wish I hadn't nicked one of the yolks on it with a shard of shell. <sigh>




This one looked larger than the one above, but it weighed less. Weird! Both of these came from our little Red Sex Link Ida, and we ended up losing her to reproductive issues.
