**POST YOUR LABEL PICS HERE**

We should be getting eggs any time now.  We have everything ready to go (candler, washing station, cartons and labels).  I have designed this label for the cartons.  We chose to go with the clear plastic type which can be separated into two 6 packs.

Here is the label.  How about posting the labels you are using on your cartons.

With 18 hens we hope to have plenty of "Sunrise Fresh" eggs to sell here at the farm.

Nice label thumbsup.gif!  Most of my young pullets are laying but, the eggs are still very small so, not selling many yet. Good Luck!

Great looking label.  I designed mine on photoshop too.

I did an outline of one of my black hens and just made it a simple, business card size

The lighter grey was done with a vector drawing program. I'm considering just making it sold black instead though.

I don't care why the chicken crossed the road, as long as mine don't!

Do you just put the label on the egg carton? this is my 1st year with chickens and I still haven't even gotten eggs, but I hadn't thought of a Label...now I'm really excited, I'l lpost something once I make it.

I bought a box of plastic egg cartons from McMurray.  They came with labels I can print at home.  But I didn't like the way they fit so I designed one I liked better and am having them printed for me at Staples.  100 labels cost about $12

I've been recycling used ones and just taping my label, printed on some business card blanks that I already had, to them. When I run out of those (and it will be a while since I give a 50 cent discount for every carton returned) then I'll buy cartons and when I run out of business card blanks, I'll buy the labels. My flock isn't large enough to lay more than a few dozen a week so far.

Watch out! There are seven eggs in the picture. I'm sure Trading Standards will have something to say about that. ;)

here in UK trading standards has a certain standard

depicition is ok to do

its when you do actuals thats when issues can occur

for example

when you buy a carton of juice you may see actual picture of the fruit of you may see clipart image

now that is due to trading standards

you can only display the actual fruit image if the item being sold contains actual fruit

if the item does not and only contains flavoring then you can only showe a depication like a clipart

this is very true for many sweets they are flavours so you will see cliparts on the packets

:)
