HELP ! Duck egg hatching problem

Okay so I made a thread before about how I was making an incubator & stuff. I got eggs from some lady & it's been about 28 days now. I do have an egg that has developed during the 28 days & today is the 28th day.
For the past few days, the egg has been developing this weird spot on it but you can't wash it off. It's coming from the inside.

It's a blue swedish egg that I received from some breader. I have been candling it about every 2 days & there's veins and all in it.
But now on it's 28th day, I can't see anywhere in the egg when I candle it except for the bottom of the egg which is this picture:




My second question is what is that yellow stuff on that side?<

& Here's another picture showing some black stuff inside.

Perhaps you could add a phrase in the title about hatching or egg development to get an experienced hatcher to check in. I don't know much about the process myself. I hope it goes well for you.

Firstly, trying to wash the spot off, probably wasn't the best idea.
Secondly, candling every 2 days is overkill.
Thirdly, I'm not sure what the yellow line is.
Fourth: eggs take an "average" of 28 days. Some will hatch sooner; some will hatch later. It is only an average guage.

I'd like to wish you luck with it; but, I'm not hugely optimistic from your photos.

Can you "hear" any peeping sounds? Are any of your eggs "wobbling"? Can you hear any teeny "tap-tap-tap" sounds?

Well it's been a few years since I have hatched duck eggs. Obviously if an egg is developing properly you eventually can't see much because the baby has filled up the spaces. I've had eggs that have gone black because the chick or duck has died in process of developing. The yellow almost looks like a broken egg sac ? How are the other eggs in the batch developing in comparison?

Have you seen any movement while you have been candling ? I have to agree I would not have candled so much nor would I ever scrub an egg it will only allow more bacteria to penetrate the shell. Duck eggs have a higher humidity rate which I think probably allows for more bacteria potential to get inside.

I had someone explain it to me once as you never see a hen or duck worried about how dirty their egg is as they roll it around the nest....and at the time it made a lot of sense. I was over thinking my hatching process.

The black spot thing is spreading. & yeah I probably shouldn't of candled it as much. Never taking advice from my mother again. Do most of these things mean that it is probably dead? And I don't hear or see any movement or sounds from it.

UPDATE: I went through my homemade incubator today and threw out some eggs that were infertile. One of them included this one from the post, it was indeed dead. Probably due to the two times that the power went out and sometimes over heating. I do have another egg that is fertile right now on it's 6th day in the incubator. I have a questions though. I ordered myself an actual incubator called (I think) the Farmers Innovation Model 2200 Circulated Air Incubator. I hope that this will help me & if anyone has this or has used it, could you tell me your review of it?
My other question is when the incubator comes, should I transfer the eggs I have in the homemade incubator to the new incubator or should I just finish the current batch in the homemade then when new eggs come, put them in the new? Thanks in advance.

sometimes marks like these apear when ducklings break the inner sack but not got through the shell causing them to die in the shell did you turn them often ??

So sad for you that it didn't work out

I have no experience of the incubator you describe, so I cannot offer you a review. However, when the incubator does arrive, check to see if you can manually set it to a manual setting. If it can/does, then maybe you could then transfer your eggs to the incubator to give them the very best chance of survival. The very best thing would be, they hatch; the very worst thing would be, they do not hatch. But that is all par for the course in hatching; sorry to say. It's all about trial and error (I'm sorry to say); and that is the truth of it.

It came today so that's why I waited to respond. All it has for temperature control is a knob your turn to increase or decrease the heat. Then of course the tray at the bottom for humidity. When do you think I should put the eggs in? & should I buy more eggs to put in with these eggs since I only have 4.
