Hello, I have a Barred Plymouth Rock and a Black Star, and they lay small light brown eggs with purple spots on them. Are they fresh eggs?

Thanks!

If the eggs were just laid, they are fresh.  My Barred Rocks lay brown eggs with colored flecks from time to time.  They go into the basket and frying pan with all the rest.

If they were just laid then, yes they are fresh. You needn't worry about freshly laid eggs being fresh! :)

Yes, but are these good, best or bad eggs? I do know that if the hen has just laid then it will be a fresh egg.
