But is it fair that someone can claim SQ eggs then only offer a low amount of paypal as their offer? Shouldn't the paypal at least be near what they claimed?

This is why I said at least $20 and $25-$30 would be closer to actual value of what people claiming eggs would get.

If you getting into  judging what each set of eggs is worth, its  complicated and not going to be fast.   That is the crazy 25 hr auction thread.  If you put it over 15 bucks, your going to slow the chain  too.  I think I go back to BP comments, if you think its not enough for your eggs, don't claim the paypals. I DO understand what you are saying, I'm just trying to be practical here.

Hopefully Im not saying stuff that has already been said, I'm going to go back and read the whole thread now :).

It really boils down to this, do you want fast, do you want  a lot of paypals, or do you want predominatly eggs? If its a 20 min,  I'll be offering eggs not pp. I have great eggs and  a few variety of birds, so thats not a problem for me, but my guess is the thread will slow down. If we don't care, then that's cool and froody, if the excitement is  having both things on the thread,  its gotta be a balance.

Great comments on this thread guys, good read.

I vote we post shipping tips!  they really were a HUGE help to me in shipping eggs cost.

Folks, a reminder that this is not the place to air issues related to transactions. Please resolve this stuff off the forum. It is against the rules to bring issues like this to public forum.

Glad to hear this.  I'm in the same boat.  The only only ones I've got laying really well right now are my legbars, but I've only got 2 of them in a pure pen (the other is uncrested and created sexlinks).  My Swedes went from 8-10 eggs a day to 3, I think they are moulting.  I personally won't be claiming paypals because it doesn't cover the packing and shipping-the way I pack the eggs, but I do love that it gives some flexibility as my egg offer won't always meet the rules as a first offer.    I usually sell my eggs on ebay but offer 18+ at a time because I put over 5 dollars worth of packing into each order and double box the eggs so that's the only way its worth it to me.  I love this thread because I can trade small amounts for things I'm looking for-like the cuckoo silkies.  I'm so excited!  I have two cuckoo sizzles who both turned out to be roosters so I'm happy at a chance of building a cuckoo harem.

Thanks so much for creating this thread!

I want Tolblunts, more cuckoo silkies, nice sizzles, ancona ducks, Red bourbon or midget white turkeys (Feb at the earliest), and black pied x black pied swedish flower eggs (I'm making a pen of these but don't have a rooster for them) but I can only buy from NPIP breeders which makes a straight trade hard as we've only applied for testing.  Hopefully it will be scheduled quickly.

I have: Swedish flower hens, BBS Sizzles w/lav and porcelain split, Cream legbars and Pacific Crested Sex-links.

I have SFH hatching eggs available.
