Same here!!!  The few eggs I am getting from 'set up' hens I need for hatching.  Most are not being mated at this time and are finishing up a heavy molt.

Soon WATCH OUT.  I hope to offer truly majestic Jerseys, Lovely serene Barnevelders both large and bantam, charming and cute Faverolles, etc.....   =:~)  and the quackers of Ancona

Oh my, this swap has gotten me wrapped up in some serious chicken math. You all have some gorgeous birds.

Mom to one rambunctious 4-year-old, and the one who brings the food to my "blended family" of several coturnix and a silkie hen. (Flock? Covey? Flovey?) Proud chicken momma of 2 easter eggers, 2 speckled sussex, and 2 silver cuckoo marans, and beginning the adventure of hatching coturnix eggs.

Haha! I assume you mean the Scottie, Barbie? I think she'd cost more to ship than she's worth ;) Plus, she's bred, so she's extra heavy right now ;) BUT you can come visit her anytime :)

That is the breed I am going to have someday. They are adorable and the ones I've been around have been so sweet. I'd love to see pictures sometime!

Funny story-

My best friend and I went to a Scottish Festival years ago. There was a Scottie in a round pen just begging to be petted. I stood there scratching him around his ears and horns for a while, and he was loving it! I turned to walk away and he started lowing at me. His owner was talking to someone and his head whipped around and he yelled at me to get back over here! I thought I was in trouble, but I walked back anyway. He asked "What did you do to my steer?" I said I was just petting him. He said he owned him from the time he was born (he was 6 years old) and he had NEVER made a sound until then! lol.png

I just got a box of beautiful olive eggs from Gamebirdsonly! The box was banged up, but the packaging was so well done that all the eggs are fine. They are currently resting, and I can't wait to put them in the incubator! Thank you so much! big_smile.png
