The other bird really doesn't look like an easter egger or hatchery ameracauna to me. Any better pics of her? She does look like a girl

Thanks, yes, I've come to terms with my black chicken being a roo...  I'd actually thought so from the beginning, but for about two weeks started to think I was wrong.... until that tail started to grow! What is it that says jungle to you?  Are there black ones?

Here's the other mystery hen...  I'll take more if you need a particular angle.

For what it's worth, these are the breeds Belt Hatchery lists:

Rhode Island Red, New Hampshire Red, Barred Rock, White Leghorn, Black Sex-Link, Golden Sex-Link, Black Australorp, Buff Orpington, Golden Laced Wyandotte, Silver Laced Wyandotte, Ameraucana (Easter Egg Chicken), Delawares, Danish Brown Leghorn, Jersey Black Giant, Light Brahma, Welsummer, Cuckoo Maran, Speckled Sussex, Cornish Cross, Dark Cornish, Belt Jungle Fowl,White Silkie, Black Silkie, Buff Silkie, Golden Sebright, Silver Sebright, Mille Fleur, B.B. Red Old English, White Crested Black Polish

That last hen doesn't really fit any breed.

She's straight combed, yellow legged and clean faced. Those all together rule out easter egger to me.

She looks like she has some gold lacing, mixed with something else...........?

Well, the kittens aren't so cute anymore and the easter egger cockerels are in the freezer. Plus, I think offering them as "prizes" scared folks off! So, I'm still posting quotes, if you know it let me know. I'm very enamored of this new one, it may hang around for a while!

Interesting!  I'm going to have to look up gold lacing...

Just curious, she reminds me of my old "Goldie" that died last year, although Goldie was more golden... Can you tell me if Goldie was an EE? Her legs look greener and her comb is different - but her eggs were white I think (definitely not green or blue.)

Your mystery hen looks similar to my mystery hen:

Mine started off a dark chipmunk color though. It was sugested that she could be a lighter BSL (although she remained an "unknown"), perhaps you have a gold or red sex link?

how interesting your chick was dark!  Do you have a pic? I was calling my chick "blondie" but now she's gotta be brownie I guess : )

I looked at yours - and the body seems identical! Although your hen's head and neck looks a little different.

Here's a good shot of all three (they love those grape leaves!) . I don't really know my combs - but I was wondering what they are on all three?

Sorry, it was the long, pretty, flowy tail feathers in your fifth pic that made me think your br was a roo.  Believe everyone else over me - I've only had 4 BR's so far, 2 of each gender, and for a while, I thought my current one was a pullet - until he hit about 15 weeks.

I'm going with HQ beardless EE, Barred Rock pullet, and do you have a better pick of the Welsummer-ish cross maybe??

No problem, it's definitely good to hear all these opinions!  And who knows....  I'll definitely post when I find out for sure!

Interesting! So there are black EEs?!!  Even really big ones?  And I thought you were referring to my "Goldie" as the Welsummer-ish cross? so I put her picture in here...but now that I read this again, I think you mean the third bird in the pic. the one I have now.  I'll have to take another picture prob.  what features are you trying to see? Did you scroll through my whole post ?  There are several of her...
