Some birds will just ignore the fufus, and others just HAVE to pick on them.

Yep.. My first flock ignored a silkie female when I added her. They didn't know whether to think she is a chicken or a rabbit gig.gif

My silkies don't even tolerate my polish...now if that isn't the pot calling the kettle black, I don't know what is!  My cochins hate the polish but, tolerate the silkies.  Wonder what it is about the polish?

My polish WAS my bantam cochins favorite girl... Until she got sick. He DID NOT like it when I went into the run to get her. I'm considering buying her some polish friends and a rooster

Is it just your polish roosters the silkies don't like? My sizzle rooster as well as my silkie rooster both LOVE my standard polish girl. They are the only two roosters that mate her. She is too small for the other boys, and just perfect for the silkies. She may be 1 pound more then they are, but is tall and lanky.

I've only managed to get one polish girl to laying age.  Seems my bantam frizzle rooster loved her...I have her son to prove it :)  However, I've lost all other polish to Marek's.  I just have my white crested red rooster and my frizzled polish roo.  All of them, except the frizzle roo picked on Phyllis.  Eventually, she moved up in the pecking order ranks but, it took a very long time.  Then, Marek's took her :(

My girl is spunky. She is blind in one eye (has some type of uninfectious growth - says the vet - not contagious) and she has been known to pick on others by just scratching them like she is digging for treats. It's HILARIOUS. I love Harriet. She has such character. I almost culled her because of the growth. It had gotten REALLY large. After a few weeks of constant cleaning and ointment, it shrunk down to the size of a pea and is not infected at all. Thank goodness.. She is a joy...

Plus her and my sizzle boy make the cutest little babies!

That is an adorable little chick...Mine didn't fare so well...he is not cute in the least....strange looking critter :)  Phyllis was a white crested black and CC is a red frizzle...I will get a pic.  I don't think I have any :)  He's a little nuts and hard to catch.  Planning on boating today, DH getting home from a week long business trip.  Wants some relaxation time.  I have to get these pics I promised :)
