Can anyone tell me how to put a watermark on digital pictures?

Also, what are some of the ways you protect that pictures that you post on the internet?

The newest version of Irfanview has a great watermark feature now. I use that for my photo program on my computer. You can watermark every single picture as you edit it, very, very easy.
