Does anyone have experience with these yellow rollaway nest boxes?

I'm trying to move my nest boxes because they are below where they roost and get pooped on all night. The problem is that these nest boxes have, for some reason, been built with a lip on the back that prevents me from just screwing them into the studs of my chicken house. I feel like I might be missing something. There must be a reason for that lip.

Here is a picture of the nest boxes I ordered. Unfortunately, all of the pictures I've found only show the front, so the plastic lip at the back is not visible. The lip is right above the top three screw holes at the back.

No experience, just guessing.  The lip was put there so it could be hung from a mounting bracket as an option.  Being hung by a bracket would make it easy to take out of the coop and be washed.   Did it come with mounting instructions?

I don't get better with age, only more confused(ing).
