Can Cream Legbars lay white eggs?

I have a cream legbar who lays white eggs, people on a facebook group are now saying "she is not a pure breed, she is a cross" and it is really starting to get on my nerves, can she lay white eggs or does this mean she isn't a pure breed?

no they cant lay white

she is a cross

i have cross legbars that look like legbars but lay any colour egg

there are a few official non recognised varieties of legbar hybrids

one is cotswold legbar

another is columbine

another is Fenton blue and fenton rose

ALL KNOWN TO BE BRED IN UK

and i just created one which is what you might have a white legbar (they dont have to be all white its all about what they crossed with)

that is crossing a white leghorn with a legbar to get the mix of white and green egg

gives a almost white off white/green egg (like a duck egg)

they look sooooooo similar that people dont know the difference

my hybrids are pure legbar roo crossed with hybrids reds and leghorn hens

and the chicks looks just like a pure legbar

the main difference in not seen untill POL age and even then you need a keen eye to tell them apart

here is a fenton

here is a columbine

here is an old cotwold legbar

here is a pure cream legbar

a picture would help but yours might not be any of them but just a experimental breed

for egg-ample someone might have tried crossing a cream legbar rooster with a black or brown leghorn

which would give you the cream legbar looks but that off white sort of egg colour

No defo not a WHITE leghorn

maybe a leghorn of another colour like a brown

here are my chicks

The one on left is a Cream Legbar Roo crossed with a Red Warren (Prod Red)

The one on right is a Cream Legbar Roo crossed with a White Leghorn

as you can see the one on left is feathered like a cream legbar and the one on right is feathered white like leghorn with a few black barred feathers

both are pullets as i vent sexed them and they will both grow to have the crown
