I haven't heard that. What is your source of information? I assume that you are talking about Libya.

On the US knowing about the Libya attacks before they happened...I would suggest taking the info with a grain or two of salt.  The original source of this report was a British newspaper with the average circulation of a small city newspaper.  While the report has been picked up by every right wing news purveyor in the US, I'm not sure that the original source is good.

I had just got up and truned on the TV I saw this building on fire so I stayed there they said a jet had flew into one of the trade towers at this time they were not sure if it was acccident my husband's daughter called "Are you watching TV??" I said yes we talked for a little while and hung up then I called my father to see if he had it on TV I think all the channels had it on, As we (dad and I) was watching another jet flew into the other tower I said you see that another jet flew into the other tower he said it wasn't that big but it was so I asked him about if the tower fell he said it woud take a lot to bring them down no sooner said that one fell I hung up with him, Then they were reporting the pentagon was hit and Camp David (no it wasn't but they said it was, then we hear a jet went down in PA the town it went down in was close to when the ex friend;s father lived I called her to see if her dad was ok he was fine and it was miles away. I sat a watched the news all day I thought it was guenius using our own jets who would of thought this, but in time they said the terrorist was learning how to fly plane but not learning how to land them why didn't they get reported to the cops or FBI? as for the jet that went down in my opinoin they are all HEROS they stopped the jet from getting to it's destination they said it was the white house, REALLY they destroy the white house and we are crippled I don't think so if the got the senate and congress maybe so or if they took out our mints to print money paper or coin I think this would hurt us a lot more huh? My son and I talked I said if we were on a plan and it was taken over we wouldn't just sit there we would try to take it over ok so we get knifed of cut SO......... and can we fly a plane well I know to keep it on the horizen so I can somewhat but to land no but I am sure they could get me down or someone could if told how to. If you are going to die anyhow I would go down with a fight. The poeple over PA got control but it was to late. Imagine getting a call of your loved one on one of them jets saying they are on one highjacked and they will not be coming home it is to crash I think that is worse then the way I found out my son had died, I had a body I could put in the gound but in a cras I am not so sure there are bodies they will fine or what of the people in the towers that jumped imagine the phone call from that . I knew when the second plane flew into the second tower it was on puppose no dobt. My husband's daughter wept as she watched the twoers on fire and falling I did not I thought I hate to clean up that mess the people were coverted with debree coughing and need oxygen it was unbelieviable but I gave some thought we have a system of 911 and it happened on 911 were they trying to tell us something back then. a day after this happened I got emails stating notradamus had fortold this but it was fake I knew this it didn't sound like him if you ever read what he wrote. a sad sad day it will be around for a long long time as pearl habor is but I don't know if peaerl habor was worse in how many got killed anyone know? Stop stirring the pot Thai. This thread is about remembering where you were on 9/11/2001. Not about what happened a couple days ago. Bringing that up will only get this thread locked by a LOT of ANGRY Americans. 

First of all, let me say again to Thaiturkey, QUIT potstirring. I know it's your specialty. The current subject is not Libya, as I read the title of the thread.

 

Secondly, keep politics out of it? That won't happen around here, certainly.

 

Thirdly, but most importantly, MY world did NOT stop turning on 9-11 and neither should yours have! That is what "they" would like to have had happen. Gosh darn, I sure hope America is stronger than that. Maybe it isn't any longer. I don't even remember where I was or what I was doing. My world goes on. I hope yours did, too.

I would let that pass for the sake of the feelings of others but I am offended by your spiteful accusation.

 

I regret the loss of any innocent lives and sympathise with those left behind, irrespective of which country they live in or their personal beliefs. I have been very close to a terrorist attack, lucky to escape in fact, and to people who lost loved ones in it, so I know something first hand of what such an experience is like.

 

Please remember that people killed in the tragic event of 9/11 came from several countries, including my country of birth which has suffered more than its fair share of terrorism. Perhaps I feel as strongly about it as do you.

 

RIP all those lost in 9/11.
