I've got a mutt chicken hen sitting on 9 duck eggs and i was wondering how long it takes for a duck egg to hatch...

Thanks in advance...

Most duck eggs take 28 days to hatch, one week longer than chicken eggs. I have two due to hatch Saturday. Good luck with yours!

To add to the above, muscovies will take 35 days and cross breeds of muscovy and other domestic ducks will be about 31 to 33 days.

Thanks for the replies, Violette (the hen sitting on the duck eggs) still has a long way to go... It's her first time sitting on eggs so i hope the species difference of the mother and eggs won't phase her too much...
