Apparently they can have yellow or white legs. Or so I have read. I think I have white and yellow. Will check in the morning. smile.png

5/12: 15 BO's, 3 WL's, 1 recalcitrant BCM Roo aka 'Boaz'. (Yes beloved Adam, my chickens may bump me off for a worm but I'd never bump you off for Buffy 'n Scruffy)  Mittens 17 1/2 y.o Tortoise-Shell Calli with "tortitude" (never too late to start loving cats). And Hanna-girl, NSDT, best dog ever, resting peacefully since 4/12. We miss you, baby-girl.  "Hooked on Chickens"... and gratitude.

Also, one of my leghorns lays a very very light beige egg! Off-white maybe compared to the brilliant white of my others.

X2. Also, white Rocks are MUCH meatier, have smaller combs, and have fluffier butts.

We have a flock of 75-ish hens: Blue Copper Marans, Barred Rock, Red Sex Links, Black Sex Links, Easter Eggers, Tetra Tints, white Leghorns, dark Cornish, various colors of Rocks, some barnyard mixes, and a little Buttercup, who's just here for pretty.

Also 35 broilers plus six Easter Egger cockerels in the meat pen. But they won't be here long.

Welcome to the world of chickendom Jenny! she looks really good and healthy.  Do you have any more or just her? she will be a great pal to you.

I looked at all the caged animals in the barn...the cast-offs of human society. I saw in their eyes love and hope, fear and dread, sadness, and betrayal. And I was angry."God," I said, "this is terrible! Why don't you do something?"God was silent for a moment, and then He spoke softly, "I have done something," he replied.  "I created you."
