This is why I came here, same question. I have a Broody with eggs I introduced going on to the 18th day.
My understanding for food is an all flock mixture in crumble form (I have pellets now... too big for the chicks).
I also read elsewhere on this site that a dish with water and pebbles on bottom so chicks can't fall in and drown.
