New photo uploader doesn't work for me, anyone else?

Someone just reported in the old timer thread that photo upload still doesn't work with iPads.
Hmm... I don't have an iPad to test, but the engineers do. If they can start a new thread in the feedback section with exact steps and what happens we can work to troubleshoot.
I don't have one either, but I've bumped into a number of people here who say they can't upload with their iPads, but then they can from their desktops. Maybe the engineers can track it down, or if the instructions are different with iPads, post those instructions/workarounds.

Being some what techie, I think the issue with iPads is an issue with Java scripts. IPads do not use "real" Java and their version updates within the iOS update. After the new iPads came out, there hasn't been an update for the previous iPads.
The issue that I get is that the select photo a java script does execute and so I can't upload a photo. I suspect with the BYC updates you're using an update Java which the iPads don't recognize.

Same here...I'm on an iPad and even posting text can be a challenge ...pics forget it
We're heading into the final stretch of our complete mobile platform overhaul and we are very hopeful that the mobile experience on BYC will be lightyears better!

Here's a little update on iPad issues. Apple has not updated iPad software to iOS6 as of yet. My iPhone has iOS6 and the photo upload works ok. My iPad has iOS 5.1.1 and the uploaded does not work. So, when your techs look into the issue, mention that it is with iOS less than 6 that is having the issue. As I mentioned previously, I suspect it is an issue with the older version of Apple Java that is the issue. The bad news for us iPad users is that Apple Java in built into the iOS so if Apple doesn't release an update for our iPads, we're stuck unless we use another computer to upload photos.
