Sour crop

The vet said it sounds like sour crop and wanted me to take her in for her crop to be emptied but I knew that would stress her so I emptied it myself by holding her upside down and massaging it all out. I've done that four times now and each time more came out.
What do I do now? I'm keeping her in the house tonight and have given her a boiled egg mashed with water and just plain water to drink, should I give her her layers pellets ? And am I meant to give her yoghurt ? And apple cider vinegar? Please help I don't know what I'm doing! What do I do to cure her? Does she need medicine? Should I take her to a vet?

vinegar will be perfect to give I gave it to my chicken and her crop seems to be much much better i give her a teaspoon of vinegar in her water 3 times a week

i have a chicken that has a crop I gave her vinegar in her water 3 times a week and it seems to be much much better

@shell3I've just got a question about the paraffin mentioned at the very start of this thread. I have one that I think could benefit from it but is it something you buy at a pharmacy? How much do you give?
