Impromptu keet food??

One of my MIA guineas showed up with 5 keets tonight. I'll have no game feed or chick starter till tomorrow night. What can I feed them tonight? I have layer and scratch which I'm pretty sure is a no. I do have rabbit, pig and guinea pig food?

I'd just grind up some scratch in a blender or a coffee grinder and sprinkle it over some scrambled eggs or a crumbled boiled egg for them to peck at until you can get some game bird or turkey starter.

It gets even better - DH said he found one of our other missing guineas this morning sitting on a nest of 15 eggs..... last time we had one sitting on a nest that big something ate all the eggs. I'm going to try to come up with a shelter of some kind to cover her.

Thanks for the advice on the feed. Number one priority today - FEED STORE!

I have a question about food, I have 6 16-18 wk old keets and have been feeding them scratch and turkey

age. Thanks so much

At that age mine have always been on flock raiser or game feed. oyster shell is more for if their shells are thin. I've never had a problem with thin shells, but I free range. If I were you I'd wait till after they start laying to decide if you need oyster or not. DH didn't tell me he had stopped picking up flock raiser a couple of weeks ago since it's more expensive. I prefer it to layer.
