Washingtonians Come Together! Washington Peeps

I pot nearly all my herbs so spread isn't a factor. Except chives maybe... I was bad about deadheading the plants for a couple years and had baby chives all over the place. They're under control now but I always have to remember to cut off spent blooms.

I also keep them in pots.

Except for the oil peppermint by the back door the dogs have almost killed. I need to take starts of it and propagate more. Mom said she isn't sure hers made it. We've had starts of this plants since the 90s.

I hung a bag of sulfur across the coop doorway today. The chickens bump it when they pass underneath and get a little dusting of sulfur powder. It's supposed to be very effective at preventing and controlling mites and lice.

I've never seen any mites or lice on my chickens, but noticed that they sometimes shake their heads which makes me wonder if they have ear mites. Never looked into their ears to check.
