bantam chook trying to sit on call duck eggs!!!

i have this bantam chook and she is trying very hard to sit on callduck eggs i would take her of and she would jump back on!!! i am not sure if chooks can hatch out ducklings but she insists!!! D.gifidunno.gif

How cute!

Yes- chickens can hatch duck eggs. I thought I would have humidity issues, but mine have done it. If you want her to raise them though, you have to account for them not being able to perch and jump as well as baby chicks can when they follow mom around.

Yes, chickens can hatch ducklings. :) I think you should let her give it a try :)

Thank you she is sitting on 7 fertile duck eggs and do any of you guys know the gestation period for a call duck

here they are a 2 days old they are buff call ducks she is a great mummy =) (6 hatched one died =( = but these one are

just beautiful!!!! =)
