"rescued' yet another one... (graphic pictures) - Page 18

Mine empty the nest boxes too. I try and make it tidy and comfy for them and in 5 minute they trash the place!

8 Silkies, 1 Silkie x, 2 Appenzeller x, 1 mix rooster, 2 elderly terrapins and a boyfriend.

So true.

I looked at all the caged animals in the barn...the cast-offs of human society. I saw in their eyes love and hope, fear and dread, sadness, and betrayal. And I was angry."God," I said, "this is terrible! Why don't you do something?"God was silent for a moment, and then He spoke softly, "I have done something," he replied.  "I created you."

I will take one of my precious little girl tonight. She is still coming along nicely. Slowly, but nicely.  She is still the smallest chicken i have ever owned. The others still give her a hard time once in awhile, but she is such a tough cookie!  Feathers are SO SLOW to come in.

She is still wearing her little pajamas... lol

She is doing great! I wish i could get her to gain some weight, almost seems that she is loosing a little. I am blaming that on the cold.  I have her at about 50 to 60 degrees in the coop right now, and she has her little coat on 99% of the time, and i make sure she has lots of extra protien, and she eats and drinks well.
