Broody hen in winter, what to do?

I took momma and the babies out to the coop and they are all doing good. I sold the 24 that I had and the last two to hatch are in a tote in the bathroom. I am working on the incubator to get it fixed and will be starting a new batch this weekend just in time for Easter. They will also all be sold at this time.

You should not speak for Atheists, and this is not the forum for you to be spouting beliefs that you think are better than others. A little compassion, curiosity and empathy would go a long way in your religious zealotry.

Always a good idea to have a look at the dates before dredging up an old thread :)

I know this thread is old but I'm having a similar problem and don't want to put a second clutch under her, I have a broody breaker cage but it is outdoors and can not be moved it is against the garage wall but that's the only shelter other than a roof. The temps are dropping into the teens not below zero yet but pretty cold would she be ok in the breaker for a few nights until broken or will she need to keep setting until she gives up. She has lost weight and I don't want her health declining anymore with it being so fridged.
