Welcome @jdk77 adorable pics of those kids and their birds. And I love your white coop there in the background too.
Holm I hope you're not hurtin' too bad from your shots today. My DD despises them. I have to settle her down a bit before she gets them. But if you liked shots we'd think you were crazy... LOL.
Ralphie I wish I could come over and help you figure out the Whiz bang. Looks like you can't sell one outlaw guinea to jdk77 either...
Today I had to take a detour due to road construction on the way to work. I know a secret little dirt path/drive way--single lane through the woods that thank goodness only one other guy knew about. He had backed himself up into a drive way for me to pass. It sure was gorgeous back there clambering through the woods. There's some gnarly points in the road though. Pretty much just a 4 wheeler path. But I do like a little adventure. Otherwise It would have been 20-30 miles on the other two detours.
I went adventuring on another thread yesterday and there was some entanglement with a couple of people...with high opinions of their winter set ups. I'm sure glad that everybody is nice on here. It's really hard for people to understand that where they live, even though they get a little snow, that their way of doing things is not always the way all wintering should be done. Nobody ever reads through the threads either I'm thinking. I have to admit after they get a certain length it's daunting to pick through for the good details. jdk77 you've picked a nice place to land for chit chat and seeking advice and acceptance for what you have.

Here is family day on death row. Blanchranch your turkey photo-bombed family day.
Here are the turkeys, as you can see they are meth users from the missing tail feathers.
The other one was showing off, until I got the camera out. Then he became shy.
And here is my proof even delinquents love their mothers and their mothers love them. This was taken just before she took them to visiting day at the prison.
Did you spill pea soup on your keyboard too? Your "o" is npt working right ;)
the deluge of pullet eggs has begun! my 20 19-week old pullets are starting to pop them out like crazy. i had 6 before 10 o'clock
Now a questions for fellow egg-sellers.... do i mix the pullet eggs with the full size ones and sell them like regular or should i just make up whole cartons of pullet eggs and sell them for a discount?
very very few of my regular buyers know a thing about chickens so they may be put off by the small eggs among the jumbos they usually get.
AT first I put mine with the Bantam eggs. Then as they start getting a little bigger, I put them in with others and tell people, they are from new layers so a little smaller for not but will get bigger shortly. If you weigh them, they probably aren't that far off from what "large" eggs are supposed to be in the stores.
Ever notice that pullet shells are really hard to break?
