you know what is funny is that my flock quit eating much corn a few years ago when I tightened my belt and quit driving to wisc for organic feed. Corn was always the first thing to go, but then....not so much. I generally have a little corn laying around on the ground because it doesn't get picked up by the flock much. I am not making this up! Another chicken keeper who used to get the feed with me had the same experience....we concluded it was the gmo corn that they woudn't eat much because it must have tasted different.
also years ago, like maybe 15, I brought organic bananas up to the cabin with my family. so did some of my sisters - you know the big fruit bowl you put out so the kids eat good stuff. Well, the kids were eating bananas and one of them spit out a bite and was very indignent about the banana tasting really bad. We looked, and sure enough the kid was objecting to the organic banana. we did a taste test and most of the kids could identify the bananas by taste.
anyway, this morning I was contemplating the all flock feed and wishing there wasn't so much corn because it gets left behind.
