how to get hens to sit and lay eggs

Hello all I ressently built a little nesting box for 2 of my bantam hens and they seem to go inside of it but they donty  lay eggs in it they lay them outside on the ground . Anyone know why ?

Put some fake eggs or golf balls in there. Also make sure the boxes are fairly dark inside and offers the ladies some privacy. smile.png

thanks today i went to the flea market and saw some golf balls and got a couple .. and today a hen had made her a nest ther soo i think they just had too get used too it
