This isn't a competition yet but it can be to see who has the *BIGGEST* or the *SMALLEST* egg laid by a chicken. It has to be compared to an average egg you would get every day and how much it weighed and what breed of hen the egg came from.
You dont have to have both either a Big one or a Small one or Both.

Here are mine-

This is my BIGGEST egg
:It weighed 114 grams
:Laid by an Isa Brown (Red Sex-Link)
:name of egg- "The Mega Egg"
The size of the egg is really not shown in these pictures, bit of a shame

.

This is the Mega Egg compared to an average sized every day egg.

From left to right- Quail, Bantam, Average, Double yolka (previouse largest egg), Mega Egg.

From Left to Right- Quail, Bantam, Average, Double Yolka, Mega Egg.

Mega Egg compared with a Double Yolka egg(this was the previous biggest).

The Mega egg was double yolked (was hope for a triple

) i reckon i could have fitted 4-5 nicely.

The double Yolka could fit inside the Mega Egg.

Wow! This answered some questions for me. I have a FBCM that routinely lays 85 gm eggs and I thought those were crazy big. But I'm less armed now. Today my smallest silkie started laying and though her egg was small, it wasn't the quail sized egg I thought she'd have.

That is huge!
Yeah it really was a surprise and i think it was produced by a hen who is only about 6 weeks past POL.

Yeah it really was a "Mega Egg". But i think it was a one of.

Well if no one has any Here is-
my *Smallest Egg*.
Laid by: Isa Brown (Red Sex-Link)- I'm pretty sure it was laid by the exact same chicken who laid "The Mega Egg" this hen goes from one extreme to the other.
Weighed:12 grams
Name: Buba egg.

Here is the "buba Egg" (Right) compared with an quail egg (Left). It's actually smaller than the quail egg

This is "Buba Egg" (left) compared with an average Isa Brown egg egg(left)

This is the "Buba Egg"(middle) compared with a Double Yolka (far left) an average Isa Brown egg(far right) and a quail egg(middle).
