We got our package today in the mail! We got soap, some herb flavored olive oil, and some homemade vanilla. Thanks to whoever sent us these! Just wondering how the vanilla was made?

Got another package today!  Some eggs marked OE, some marked EE, and one marked "sil" something - the writing was smeared.  Guess I'll just have to wait and see what hatches.

Came back to work from being sick and found my mystery package with yummy jelly, wonderful looking seasoned tomato sauce and some jalapeno jam.  I've alway heard of jalapeno jam but never tried it.  What exactly do you do with it?  Is it hot?

By the way to answer a previous question, the vanilla is easy to make actually.  You just combine cut vanilla beans and vodka.  Shake daily for 6 weeks and keep it in a dark cupboard.  The longer it sets the stronger it gets.  I included vanilla beans so that more vodka can be added to create more as the original empties, kind of like you do with pepper sauce when you add vinegar.  Any place on e-bay that sells the vanilla beans will have an exact recipe on how to make vanilla extract.

That's pretty cool! The jalapeno jam can be used on crackers and its not too hot!
