REALLY??? I never imagined - I think you just made my day and my dd's she is dancing around!! I know there are three eggs on the top of my basket here that are ones she was sitting on today - so do I go put them back or just wait til tomorrow? I think tomorrow should still be a good egg day, but after that as cold sets in and numbers will drop again. Our roo was so wonderful, I'd love to have some of his offspring.
Okay, I did it, I put three back and she is on them - I just heard her scream at someone! They've been inside for a few hours, not in the frig, will that work or do I steal them back and just try for tomorrow? Where are you? Not sure I can handle your Bielies - your roo is so similar to ours that died, that that might be too hard. But they are so darn beautiful! How do they lay?
Just FYI, your hens should be still putting out fertile eggs if it has been 3 weeks or less. It might be worth sticking some of your recent eggs underneath your broody. Otherwise KittyDoc has jubilee and lavender orps and is in Zionsville. I have Bielie eggs and Olive egger hatching eggs. SallyInIndiana has the Blue Laced Red Wyandottes and I think someone else has another sort of laced Wyandotte. Some of the members have a list in their signature line that shows who has what breeds. I don't think some of our newer members are on there but it might give you a more thorough list than my overworked brain can.
Editing to add pictures of my precious Bielies!!! Love them!
