Hi everyone, long time since Ive been on. Turkey question for those with turkeys. I have a full time broody and a part time broody. PT broody stays off the nest for about 5 hours a day. FT broody doesn't hardly get off the nest. They share a nest and FT takes all the eggs when PT gets off. Well, they have started hatching today. I have 1 completely dry turkey poult. PT has been off the nest all day today. I know they eggs were laid at different times. Should I let Pt back up with mama and chick so she can finish the eggs? I have 3 more to hatch soon and 4 others about a week out yet. Any help is as always much appreciated!
All my turkey hens are doing the same thing. They seem to co-brood and raise chicks, and for me thats great! My geese are doing it also.
