Kind of what I thought. Did a double take because I didn't believe it at first. But he he tried several times over the course of a minute or so.
I've had my dry days to get everything in, now I need the rain. We got ten minutes of light rain around 4 yesterday but that's all this week. I know some others need it to dry out, but we've been missed.
That said, I'm currently on probably my best bean stand in three years, the sweet potatoes I was worried about look to be mostly ok. They arrived from Gurney's just before the last frosts, then we had terrible wind, then I was gone, then in the hospital. So they were mulched in a cool whip tub in a window in the garage for ten days. How they still made it is beyond me.
I did have to replant squash and melon, but it's looking better already for them. No corn here. Grandpa grows enough for the county and with my diabetes, I don't eat much of it, it spikes my numbers.
I have to limit how much corn I let my parents eat, its terrible for diabetes. Sounds like a busy spring already for you!
Just curious. Recently I was asked for some hatching eggs. My rooster is a fine looking buff orpington and his hens are buff orpingtons and barred rocks. She asked me what the charge was and I had no idea what the value would be. Can anyone give me a suggested charge. ? Thanks 😀
I usually ask $1 each for hatching eggs, unless its a rare breed.
Hi, I have a little problem. I used a little giant incubator, and only one baby hatched. She is a very loud little peeper. My husband said she is lost because she is alone. Does anyone have any 1-5 day old chicks they are willing to sell? I live on the west side of Indianapolis, but will travel if need be. Please and thank you so much.
I know many folks are still hatching chickens right now, and Rural King should still have chicks also.
