We have 4 neutered male alpacas and they are great. We let them graze over a couple of acres and feed them about 1/4 to 1/2 cup alpaca pellets and some hay each day. Ours are not used to being handled but come to see me and are very inquisitive. We got them with the property when we moved in.
They can eat chopped up cauliflower and broccoli and brussel sprouts. Here is a good website for you: http://www.rcfalpaca.com/jcare.htm
I will happily send you some alpaca pictures if you want to PM me.

the pixels aren't as many so not as sharp as on my phone but you get the idea. Their names are Ginger, Mort (the black one), Fish (the multi coloured gray one who always rushes up to sniff me when I go into the field-kind of looks like a rasta dude when he wears his hay 'hair' in the morning) and Dennis the white one. They are a lot of fun. Jhnny2000 has 2 and she feeds them fermented feed but I haven't tried that more than once. I have enough work feeding FF to my poultry!

look at the top of the reply box; click on the picture icon next to the video icon. It says 'embed an image' then instructs you to browse your computer.
enjoy!
