Ever wonder how I spend my evenings...
Back story: the 150 egg hatcher pooped out. The heating elements had burnt out and i needed it up and running. We (with remore intruction converted from heat rods to light bulbs. Now we need to fine tune it.
ok. now.... the incubator. i cant understand why you think its not working, if lights go on and off, if fans are working and if temp is between 37 and 38 it is working.
put thermometer on shelf and measure max temp after 5 minutes, do the same for each shelf. give me results
Yes it is working but the problem is heating is not enough to eggs.
We just need to fine tune it Please measure temp on each shelf
OK after lunch
the incutherm plus can I remove the black thing to the back.
what is black thing on incutherm plus. please take photo
OK cover to the battery.

no no - do not use new!!
open incubator and take photos
117 kB photo sent to me of incubator
please do not use that - its not a thermostat. it is to control humidity when we build a 3000 egg incubator room LOL
158 kB photo sent to me of the rear of the thermostst
141 kB photo sent by me circling the thermostat wire
the black wire circled on picture i am sending
What I'm doing?
find the black soft wire on the back of the thermostat picture I sent just now. Follow wire to find the tip inside the incubator. Place tip under second shelf with zip tie
I use the new?
no. just use the old one - its already in the incubator. find it and move it.
Dodong used the new wire
please just follow the old one
I find the wire. Next?
Follow wire to find the tip inside the incubator. Place tip under second shelf with zip tie
ok now see if we have any 50 watt light bulbs - 220 V or 110V
80 watt light used.
I know - the thick glass gets too hot. try and find 50 watt
All lights is 80 watts
Lillian - there are 40 and 50 watts that we use for piglets
Change 80 to 50 watts?
yes please and then wait til thermostat gets to 37 and measure temps on each floor again using incutherm thermometer

So no red and black boxes with 40 or 50 watts?

Sa light floor
i am confused, 4 floors. ground, 1, 2, 3. and 3 is top
From the floor to up
do not measure ground floor
measure 1 and 3
Controller 37.0 incutherm 45% 37.3 1st
Controller 37.9.incutherm 46% 38.0 2nd
Controller 37.1 incutherm 48% 37.2. 3rd.
1st floo still a little hot. but ok
you can use to hatch eggs . put mix eggs on floor 1, purebreds on floor 2 and 3
on ground floor put an icecream container or bowl of water
during days 1-19, humidity is good at 45% but when eggs hatch, it is better at 80%, The water will help. increase humidity.
the plan is to make incubator room for incubation, room with chick boxes for hatching
but we need new room for tools
thank you lillian and dodong for working well. I think i will try smaller bulbs so there will be more even heat
i will ask inday to buy 40w
No prob. your nice to us.that way I back you good
It can be done
