Boy, I have to agree with that statement!! My family lives on about $1500 a month- 4 people.
Do my kids get everything they want? No, do they get everything they need? Yes.
Sometimes it is very hard, but can be done. This situation is not by choice, but is temporary, like everything else in life....a temporary situation.
As long as i have my animals and my kids, I'm happy!!!!!!
Sometimes a forced down scaling of income can be very educational. The trick is to maintain the simple life when the income is restored.
I have two credit cards. Each one is one of those that you can customize the image on the card. Each has a picture of my kids. I have to look at them before I use them.
Great idea, Oz!! I can see how that could backfire in your case though, being so far away all the time!! Everything is a mindset, isn't it!! I think that is what has kept me happy for the most part throughout my life....I know that happiness lies within myself....Lots of people are not raised that way, maybe that is what has brought Western civilization to what it has become
Sad.......Such greed .......and emptiness in the world......
When I started college, the first (mandatory for all new students) course I took was called Strategies For Success. Boy, that was a great class....all centered around
choices / consequences, problem ownership, and personal responsibility. Best course I took, ever!! I walked away from it with a sense of feeling that EVERY incoming freshman in HS should be required too take this course!!
